HCMT 330
Description: Students learn about the laws, government policies and guidelines, and ethical considerations related to the operation of health care systems. Within this context, students explore HIPAA, informed consent, health IT compliance, anti-trust issues and organizational structures in health care. Students focus on the implications of laws and regulations on the management of health care services, particularly with respect to information systems, costs and, day-to-day operations.
