Critical Reading & Expository Writing I

ENGL 111
Description: Develops the ability to use writing for learning, thinking, and communicating. Includes an emphasis on critical reading of various texts for meaning, form, and voice. In order to discover their writing voices so they may communicate at a college level, students write several short formal and informal papers in response to their reading. They react to and summarize texts, develop and organize ideas, incorporate the ideas of others, revise and edit.
