Observation and Curriculum in Early Childhood Environments

Description: Students discuss and evaluate various types of both indoor and outdoor classroom environments, curricular models and various types of observation and recording tools and strategies. Observation will be the connecting thread that brings together child development, assessment, curriculum implications, and environment modifications. Students will examine how to set goals, plan, document, and analyze observation data to improve program quality and best meet the needs of individual children.
