Description: A country's continued existence is based on the strength of its government. Government has the power to shape economic, legal, and social attitudes of society. Students study the United States government with emphasis on the powers and actions of the Congress, the President, and the Courts. Students will also examine federalism, political parties and elections, and the influence of special interest groups and the media on American political culture.
