WRT 250
Description: Students will learn about the day-to-day world of a book editor, from acquiring a manuscript, working with an author to develop their voice and make substantial changes and line edits, collaborating with design and production on the jacket and interior design, and presenting your titles to sales and marketing to prepare for publication in a culminating mock in-house book launch. We will work with several different genres of manuscripts and hear from industry professionals about their processes. This course will involve collaborative workshops, peer editing, and peer review.
