Animation History

ANM 100
Description: This is a survey course of Western and Non-Western animation in which students will research the evolution of animation and its role in storytelling and communication, through the lenses of art, technology, business and culture. Students will be exposed to and critically engage with animations created by a diverse group of animators, and will consider the conceptual, social, economic and cultural influences in the development of animation.
