Financial Management and Legal Issues in Early Childhood Education

Description: Students will examine the unique financial needs and legal issues confronting early childhood programs such as limited access to income resources, high personnel costs, federal and state laws and regulations, rights of employers, and employees. Through a case study approach students will explore and use various tools, appropriate laws and regulations, and demonstrate knowledge and understanding as they apply these to their case and further analyze the application of these tools and strategies to their own programs.
