Information Systems for Management
MGT 265
Description: The course introduces students to the vital role of information technology in business and provides a foundation for the assessment of business and technology goals in an organization. It explains how newer technologies (cloud computing, social media, mobile computing, etc.) are replacing and/or complementing earlier systems. Students will evaluate new technologies, including total cost of ownership (TCO), data and systems security, usability issues and legal/ethical issues from a managerial perspective.
Prerequisite: Complete 30 credits and either BUS-120 or MGT-100;
