Magazine Publishing

WRT 215
Description: This class provides an in-depth look at how magazines get written, organized, designed, published, marketed, and made. Students in the class will assume active roles as members of an editorial board that collectively works to produce The Well, a student-centered magazine that caters to the Champlain campus as an audience, while overseeing all aspects of its content and production. We'll also survey examples of contemporary magazine publishing while reading widely across the genre, sampling feature articles, briefs, and reports while learning about the history and future of the magazine industry.
