Description: This upper-level creative writing course allows and requires students to apply critical and creative thinking to the study, practice, and creation of poetry. Working closely within the workshop and with the faculty member, students will vigorously read, discuss, and analyze through writing, poetic craft and criticism from a global perspective. Students will also practice the poet's regimen of writing, revising, and performing an extended poetry collection, as well as exploring avenues for the publication of single poems and a chapbook.

Prerequisite: WRT-221 or PD permission.
