Publishing in the 21st Century

Description: This course, which is open to students from all majors, takes advantage of the unique Champlain College Publishing Initiative to give students a hands-on working experience in all aspects of publication: writing, editing, copy-editing, research, illustration, layout/design, cover art, promotion, publicity, event management, marketing, web design and usage, business and legal issues. Contemporary developments in publication are also studied and discussed, and when possible incorporated into publishing strategies.
Prerequisite: 60 completed credits
